It is not by chance that I have deferred going into print following your completion of our conservatory in the spring. I felt that it may be prudent to let a little water pass under the bridge and to experience the reality of using the facility before passing comment. Little did I know just how much water the last two months would produce to provide that test.

You have my fullest sympathy in having to fulfil commitments to your customers in such atrocious conditions, particularly for your construction teams. I am fully appreciative of how lucky we were to have our project completed in more clement weather.

It is great credit both to you and to them that I have not experienced any residual defects despite the efforts of the elements. There has been no indication of water penetration or any other latent defect to date. Although experience tells me that any building project requires to have exposure to all four seasons before it can be fully tested.

We are just awaiting the imminent arrival of the fitted blinds to complete the furnishings. I enclose a couple of recent photographs and you are very welcome to see the finished article should you wish.

Many thanks for producing that rare phenomenon in the building industry, a contract completed on time and on budget. Many congratulations.
